LayerZero Power Systems Releases Type-N ePODs To Manufacture
Chagrin Falls, Ohio (April 15, 2003) LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. has released the ePODs™: Type-N Power Distribution System to manufacture. The Series 70 ePODs™: Type-N design provides switching between two independent power sources, while providing power distribution capabilities at the same switching voltage. Type-N ePODs provide the ability to transfer power between two or three sources in a quarter of an electrical cycle, while delivering that power to up to twelve sub-feed circuit breakers.
The ePODs™: Type-N power distribution units are designed for the highest reliability, featuring Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR), optical fiber based controls, a solid state Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR), and machined hardware. In addition, the electrical system is very well designed, featuring redundant circuitry, multiple isolated power supplies, and convection cooling.
LayerZero ePODs™: Type-N power distribution units provide users with a great deal of information, accessible from either the 15 inch color touch screen, remotely over a network. Highly accessible with standard system monitoring software, the ePODs™: Type-N utilizes open protocols, and offers choice in connectivity options. To help aid in increasing efficiency in the data center, valuable decision-making data such as power metering in-formation, a power flow mimic, breaker indications, and alarms can be quickly, safely, and securely obtained.
The ePODs™: Type-N is designed to provide a very high level of reliability throughout the usable life of the product.
Continuously formulating and developing new technologies into its products, LayerZero Power Systems has been a leader and innovator in the power solutions industry since the company was founded.
