MODBUS/TCPIP Platform Launched for eSTS and ePODs for Remote Monitoring

Chagrin Falls, Ohio - - LayerZero Power Systems announces that it has released a platform that utilizes the connectivity of MODBUS/TCPIP to its line of eSTS Static Transfer Switch and ePODs Power Distribution Units, enabling the framework to be accessed remotely. The added MODBUS/TCPIP protocol support allows for wider versatility and interoperability with network monitoring software, so that monitoring, alarms, waveform capture, and power usage information can be accessed over a network. Support for the MODBUS/TCPIP protocol makes it possible to automatically monitor set points and send alarm messages over an Ethernet interface.

LayerZero eSTS and ePODs units feature Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) protection, Waveform Capture, a 15-inch touch screen interface, and "black box" forensic diagnostics. LayerZero products are known for their flexibility in that they can operate under a number of different protocols, compatible with most open standards. LayerZero allows the eSTS and ePODs to be managed remotely by providing secure access to Ethernet connections and dry contacts.

LayerZero products are designed for always-on applications, such as data processing centers and critical sites.
