Static Transfer Switch On The Secondary Side Of Two Transformers With Distribution

The Series 70 ePODs™: Type-S design provides solid-state switching between two independent power sources each of which has a  transformer feeding  one side of the static transfer switch with downstream power distribution capability. Up to twelve sub-feed circuit breakers are available. 

 

LayerZero Type-S design automatically or manually  transfers between two AC sources in less than a quarter cycle, and safely conducts this power downstream. The Series 70 ePODs performs open-transition transfers in such a manner that the connected load disruption is minimized without  cross-connecting the power sources. One power source is specified as the preferred source, and if the preferred source fails, the unit will automatically connect to the alternative source until the preferred source is available again.

The electrical and mechanical design is highly maintainable. Critical components can be replaced without the need to de-energize the load.
