LayerZero Power Systems Welcomes Streetsboro Mayor for Ribbon Cutting and Facility Tour

This past Wednesday, November 19, LayerZero Power Systems welcomed Streetsboro Mayor Glenn M. Broska to our Philipp Parkway facility for a tour and ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking an important milestone in the company’s continued growth in Northeast Ohio. The visit highlighted not only the physical expansion of our campus, but also the growing demand for the advanced power systems built here, and the hundreds of new jobs that come with it.

Mayor Broska toured the production floor, meeting the engineers, technicians, and assembly teams responsible for manufacturing the mission-critical equipment used in data centers, semiconductor fabs, financial institutions, and AI infrastructure around the world. He spent time at multiple stages of the manufacturing process, seeing firsthand how LayerZero products are designed, built, tested, and verified for reliability before leaving the facility.

The expansion at Philipp Parkway represents an additional 120,000 square feet of specialized manufacturing and testing space. This growth is driven by rapidly increasing global demand for high-reliability Static Transfer Switches (STS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and Remote Power Panels (RPPs), all of which ensure critical operations stay online without interruption. With the rise of AI computing, chip manufacturing, and cloud services, the need for industrial-grade electrical reliability has never been higher, and LayerZero continues to scale to meet that need.

With this expansion comes LayerZero adding more than 500 new full-time positions across engineering, production, testing, operations, manufacturing, software, and supply chain in the region. These roles support every part of the build process, from wiring harness assembly and metal fabrication to circuit board verification and software diagnostics.

The mayor spoke with several team members about their work and their career experiences, learning about the importance of LayerZero’s growth and what that means for the city of Streetsboro. For LayerZero, the expansion is a long-term investment in local talent, manufacturing excellence, and the future of mission-critical power.

As our company grows, so do the career opportunities. LayerZero offers competitive compensation, strong benefits, a technology-driven work environment, and the chance to contribute to equipment that keeps the world’s most advanced industries running. Whether someone is early in their career or looking to take the next step, LayerZero provides pathways for development, training, and long-term stability.

Mayor Broska’s visit was a meaningful way to mark this new chapter for LayerZero. We’re proud to continue building, innovating, and hiring right here in Northeast Ohio, and even more proud that the community gets to see the impact of that growth firsthand.
