LayerZero Announces Power Quality Monitoring

Aurora, Ohio -

LayerZero Power Quality Monitoring

LayerZero Power Systems has announced the release of Power Quality Monitoring, a real-time power quality monitoring hardware and software suite for critical facilities. The LayerZero Monitoring system provides facilities with a comprehensive understanding of their power distribution infrastructure, enabling them to identify potential threats, maximize uptime, and improve reliability.

The LayerZero Monitoring system offers a highly configurable solution with options suitable for both small and enterprise-level critical power applications. It includes both low-cost and advanced configuration options to meet the specific needs of each facility.

Local and Remote Viewing Options

LayerZero Monitoring provides local monitoring through either an LCD panel or touch screen display. It also offers remote monitoring capabilities with connectivity options such as Ethernet, Bluetooth, and SNMP. The system can synchronize with network clocks via Network Time Protocol (NTP), allowing for post-event reconstruction and root-cause analysis.

The LayerZero Monitoring system is available in two variations: SSQM (Static Switch Quality Monitoring) for Static Transfer Switches and PDQM (Power Distribution Quality Monitoring) for Power Distribution Units and Power Panels.

Monitoring Your Power Distribution Infrastructure

The LayerZero Monitoring system includes various monitors to cover the entire power distribution infrastructure. It features a voltage monitor, multiple current monitors, power monitors, and power quality monitors. Facilities have access to a system-wide view of all power distribution activities in real-time when the time clocks of multiple devices are synchronized.

SSQM Overview

SSQM is designed specifically for monitoring the health and status of LayerZero Power Systems Static Transfer Switches. It includes dedicated hardware and software located within the touch screen display processor. Voltage and current monitors are positioned after the input circuit breakers and SCRs (Silicone Controlled Rectifiers), and waveform capture automatically provides a picture of every source transfer and power quality event.

PDQM Overview

PDQM allows facilities to monitor the health and status of power distribution downstream of the UPS/Static Switch. It consists of expandable hardware and software, monitoring voltage and current after the main circuit breaker. Optional power quality monitors can be placed on the mains input and subfeed/branch distribution. The LayerZero Monitoring system monitors every pole of every circuit breaker output and automatically captures power quality events.

The LayerZero Monitoring system is an advanced power quality monitoring suite built to maximize power reliability in critical facilities. It is available in all LayerZero Power Systems products. For more information, please contact LayerZero Power Systems.
