Mission-Critical Power Distribution Safety
SafePanel® finger-safe panelboard technology for data center and mission-critical power distribution
IP-20 rated, finger-safe panelboard design that helps reduce exposure to live bus during breaker installation and service in remote power panels, data center power panelboards, and other mission-critical power distribution systems.

What a panelboard does and why it matters in mission-critical power distribution
A panelboard is a power distribution assembly that receives incoming electrical power and divides it into branch circuits protected by circuit breakers. In a data center power panelboard or remote power panel, the panelboard helps deliver power to downstream equipment in an organized, serviceable, and protected way.
Panelboards are used where facilities need reliable distribution of electrical power to multiple loads. In data centers and other uptime-sensitive environments, they help support controlled distribution, easier maintenance, and more efficient expansion of branch circuits as infrastructure grows or changes.
A well-designed panelboard is needed because power distribution equipment must do more than route electricity. It must also support safe breaker installation, maintainability, access for service, and dependable operation under real-world conditions. That is especially important in mission-critical power distribution systems, where maintenance mistakes, unsafe exposure, or downtime can have operational consequences.
SafePanel® is LayerZero Power Systems' finger-safe panelboard technology for mission-critical power distribution. It is used within LayerZero® ePODs, eRPPs, and eRDPs to help improve operator safety while supporting the serviceability and reliability required in data center power distribution environments.
SafePanel® panelboard design helps reduce exposure to live bus
At LayerZero Power Systems, safety is a core part of mission-critical power distribution design. In applications where uptime matters and maintenance must be performed with care, safer access to panelboard components is a practical advantage, not just a feature.
LayerZero® ePODs, eRPPs, and eRDPs feature SafePanel® panelboards designed to help reduce exposure to live bus. The busway is positioned behind a plastic resin-injected molding that helps protect operators during breaker installation and service.
SafePanel® allows circuit breakers to be installed without exposure to live bus, helping operators work more safely and supporting serviceability in remote power panels, remote distribution panels, and other critical power distribution equipment.

Finger-safe panelboard design for data center applications
The SafePanel® wells are almost 1 inch deep, creating an arc-free zone designed to help protect the operator during breaker installation and maintenance.
In a data center power panelboard or remote power panel, details like well depth, bus protection, and breaker access affect how safely and efficiently service can be performed. SafePanel® is designed to support both protection and usability in real operating environments.

Built for remote power panels and data center power distribution
SafePanel® is part of LayerZero® mission-critical power distribution solutions, including eRPP and eRDP configurations used to distribute power safely and efficiently to downstream loads.
For facilities evaluating a data center power panelboard, SafePanel® offers a design focused on operator protection, maintainability, and dependable breaker installation. It is intended for applications where uptime, service access, and electrical safety all matter.
As a remote power panel manufacturer, LayerZero Power Systems designs power distribution equipment for environments where reliability and serviceability directly affect business continuity. SafePanel® supports that goal by helping reduce exposure to energized components while maintaining a practical layout for installation and maintenance.
